There is no integrated feature in Windows Movie Maker that allows you to record audio from your speakers. You could use the Narration feature to achieve that, but mic-feedback and low volume recording levels will likely result.
If you want to record from your speakers directly, it is best to use an external editor like Streaming Audio Recorder(Start, All functions- record batch audio on the internet, convert audio for your iPod, mix audio freely,
rip CD, etc, Sound Recorder). Even then, you will need to make some adjustments to volume levels etc.
No narration feature in Windows Live Movie Maker. Sorry.
No. There is only one audio track to work with in Windows Movie Maker. You can drag an audio backwards on the time-line to overlap the music... but it may not sound the way it would if it were on two different tracks. Perhaps you can try to use a streaming audio recorder to record audio on windows movie maker.
You can't do that on Windows Live Movie Maker, but you can extract the audio from a video in Windows Movie Maker v2.6 and save/publish it as an audio file.
If you get the message "No Audio device detected" when trying to open WMM (Windows Movie Maker) you need to ensure you have speakers connected to your computer (and configured). WMM can't be used if you don't have an internal/external audio device connected and configured.
You need to use an external audio editor for fixing audio before importing it into the program. Windows Movie Maker can't fix audio (only adjust volume levels/fades).
No. Windows Movie Maker records in .wma (Windows Media Audio) format. However, you can import and edit .wav files in the program.
Speeds faster than 1x does not support audio in Windows Movie Maker.
Use Windows Movie Maker
Something might be wrong with your Movie Maker program if you don't have sound. First make sure your speakers are turned on and up (I've made this mistake myself several times). Test your computer audio by playing something on your Media Player. If the Media Player audio works, then something is amiss with your Movie Maker. Download your version again and re-install it.
You can record on Windows Movie Maker by using the Narration feature. (Note: There is no Narration feature in the Windows Live Movie Maker version).
Are you sure your speakers are plugged in correctly and the volume is turned up? Did you check to make sure the file was not accidentally muted? And too, the audio may not be in a compatible format for Windows Live Movie Maker.
You have to record the audio first and save it in one of the following audio/music formats used by Windows Movie Make:.aif, .aifc, .aiff, .asf, .au, .mp2, .mp3, .mpa, .snd, .wav, and .wmaOnce the audio is saved/converted to one of the above mentioned formats, you can import it into Windows Movie Maker.
