I had the same problems, turn the ignition on (without starting car). Then shift the truck into reverse and back into park. If you look under the steering wheel on the bottom cover right behind the wheel you will see a round cap about 3/4" round. pop it off and there is a hole that you can push a pen or nail up in to the hole and hit a release switch. I put a bolt in it. remove the bottom cover of the steering wheel calm and drop a 3/8 X2" bolt in the hole and put the cover back on and cut the bolt off so you don't hit it with your knee. when the key get stuck just push the bold up and turn the key. its like some of the old cars that you had to push a button to turn the car off.
being that fuel pump is in the gas tank I would remove the fuel line at the filter then turn on ignition being that fuel pump is in the gas tank I would remove the fuel line at the filter then turn on ignition
To remove the ignition cylinder on a 2000 Lexus RX300, first remove the vanity engine cover by unscrewing it. Disconnect the wiring connector by pushing the clip that holds it in place. Finally, remove the bolts that hold the ignition cylinder.

First you will have to remove the who steering wheel surrounds. Once this is removed, you will see the screws that are holding the ignition switch in place; remove those screws and then unhook all the wires.
You will need to remove the grill from your 2000 GMC Jimmy. With the grill removed. You can remove the hood latch retaining bolts. The hood will be released with the latch bolts removed.

My 2000 GMC Jimmy is slow cranking. The battery voltage meter is showing charged so I am assuming that the starter is the problem. Where do I find the starter to remove it?
