How do you remove the cigarette lighter from a 1998 Chevy Lumina?

I just removed mine. Take out the ash tray. You will see 4 visible bolts, easy to access. BUT, there are two more hidden. You need to remove the plastic dash panel part which wraps around the radio. There are no screws. Just grasp under an edge (I used the lower left corner) and pull it straight out toward you. It will not pop out easily, you'll need to tug at it and maybe use a putty knife to pry the right side. Once it pops loose, don't take it completely off. You will see two bolts at each side of the top of the bracket. Then the lighter assembly comes out. Disconnect the electrical connector. Then you need to unscrew the housing of the old unit. If you have a 1 1/4 inch inch socket you can use that, or else use pliers. Push out the old sleeve out. The remained and reassembly will be straightforward.
