How do you remove the cupholder in front center console on a 1999 Toyota Corolla for cleaning?

Very Easy !

Remove ashtray and grab the trim at bottom. Pull trim out just a bit and then pull trim out at top and sides. If it does not come out push in a table knife on sides and slide up or down until stopping at clips. When sensing the clips pull knife back a bit and up a bit and push in and pull the trim out. There are 2 clips on each side. When trim is out remove 4 screws with phillips scredriver to remove the storage box and cup holder.

Cup holder can also be removed without removing trim or Storage box using a small screwdriver at top of holder about 1 inch from each side. Push a screwdriver in and stop when filling the clip. Lift on screwdriver handle and pull tray back.

Them do the other side and pull the tray out.
