Late 90's Buicks with analog gauges, but digital readouts for temperature and radio settings do not have a simple button or switch to change the temperature readout from Celsius (°C) to Fahrenheit (°F) or vice versa. The battery must be disconnected which will erase the radio and temprature control settings. Then when the battery is reconnected the settings (and correct °C or °F readout) can be reinstalled using the diagnostic computer connection. This is best done by an automotive dealer.

No - the gauge reports 'real-time' the engine temperature. If it is wrong, there is a problem with the sending unit on the engine. This is a pretty easy fix...
