Royal mail will allow you to send food and other perishable items, provided that the item is sealed and well packaged and a first class (or faster) service is used. Food that is not perishable (i.e. chocolate, canned goods, etc, can be sent using their normal service however the package must be well sealed to protect it from pests.
To send goods that must be kept refrigerated or frozen, a specialist courier should be used.

Your question supplies its own answer. It's illegal.
That will depend on what you want to send exactly. The best thing is to check with your local post office.
yes you can send chocolates from the uk. If you buy a special stamp.
TelegramTelegrams were sent by wire, the Postal Service does not wire except for dinero seguro Certainly.Well, in Ireland it is still possible anyway! In the UK (and the rest of the world) you can order your telegram on TelegramsOnline (http://www.telegramsonline.co.uk) Even telegrams to ships are possible on http://www.telegramtoship.com.In USA you can still send a telegram or mailgram, but not at the post office. You have to call (800) 995-1844 or send it through iTelegram (http://www.itelegram.com).Also you can send telegram with www.telegramstop.com.
