Quadraphonic receivers have 4 speaker outputs. Connect 4 speakers of the same models to this. Connect your Quadrophonic turntable or reel-to-reel tape deck to the inputs on the receiver. Note that Quadraphonic systems haven't been sold since the 70's. Modern systems use encoded Dolby Digital or DTS digital audio to make sound with 5 to 7 channels.

Main speakers should be equally spaced from your seating, facing you, the other two speakers located at the rear corners of the room.
