OK, first off, don't drink any caffeine at all, or milk. This can develop mucous in your throat and make it all sticky and weird which will mess up your voice. To practice, make a siren kind of tone going from low, high, back to low. This helps if you want to make your voice higher. Also, press a note on a piano and match your voice to it. Don't strain your voice, I have already experienced that and now I can't sing very delightfully anymore.... :I Yeah. Um, and what else you can do is practice EVERY day, which you probably already heard but, you know, it works for me. Breathe from your diaphragm which is mainly making your stomach bigger when you inhale, don't let your chest rise and fall. And join a choir, it taught me ALOT about singing. And soon I felt comfortable enough to sing in front of the whole choir by myself. I really hope this helped!! :)
