First it would be helpful to know that Jehovah's Witnesses feel commanded by Christ Jesus to visit people to talk about spiritual things. We take our commission from Christ seriously. We try to engage people in parks, at bus stops, at cemeteries, on the sidewalk, etc etc; and at their homes. Anyone not wishing to speak with us can just tell us that. (We are not soliciting for money, nor are we soliciting for members. We simply enjoy talking about The Bible.)
If they call at your home more than once a year (like every 4 months or so) it would be helpful to provide them with your name (perhaps phone number). We will respect your wish.
But since people move around; and we won't know if you still live there; -- once a year someone will call to see if you still live there. If we don't have your name, we won't know. If we have your phone number we might call to see if you still live there and if you still don't wish us to call.
Someone will check the next year after that to see if you've moved or not.
We respect peoples wishes; but without a name, it's hard to coincide any record keeping. Again - - 'Since People Move'has a lot to do with it.
Please elaborate. Thank you.
