The only way to truly find out is to ask him, and hope he is being honest. If you do not want to ask him, think about how he acts with you. If he truly loves you, he will always put you before himself. But remember, love does not necessarily mean sex. Nor does sex necessarily mean love. So if you ever feel he is pressuring you for sex, this is not a sign of his love. He only wants your body.
The way to tell whether someone loves you is by the way you are treated by them. A person can say absolutely anything they like to you and about you, but the bottom line is:
Do they treat you with respect?
Do they show they care for you whenever they have the opportunity?
Do they speak well and kindly to you and about you?
Whether you are sleeping together is no indication at all as to whether you are loved. Someone who wants to sleep with you will say anything they think will work to get you into bed; that isn't love. And if you sleep with them to try to get them to love you, that isn't love, either.
It's what happens before and after sex that counts. Does he take time and trouble with you until you've had sex, and then find somewhere else he wants to be, or something else he has to do? If so, he's hardly expressing love for you.
If his actions - regardless of what he says - don't tell you loud and clear that he loves you, you're wasting your time with him. Find someone who really cares for you, and don't get physically involved with them until you're certain it's you they care for and not just your body, and that only for a few moments at a time.
