If your Battery is low the alarm will go off. You can also pull the Neg. battery cable to reset. BUT have someone standing by the drivers door with the key in the door lock. It must be turned once the reconnection is made. This will reset the alarm. If that doesn't work you will need to look for broken or loose wires with a wire diagram of the alarm system.
how do i turn off rear wiper for my Montana van
Insert key into driver door and turn to the unlock position. This should turn off the alarm.
Close all the doors then use your key, keying through the door key hole to turn lock then turn to unlock all the doors.
Most likely a bad turn signal flasher or blown fuse
If your's is like mine, and you have no remote, unlock the doors, set the alarm off, put your key in the trunk and turn it clockwise. Mine automatically arms itself when I lock the doors from the outside.
On a MkIV VW Jetta / Bora like yours, you simply pull the headlight switch OUT one click to turn on the front foglights, and another click to turn on the rear foglight, if so equipped.
On a VW Jetta 1999 the ABS light won't turn off. Does the ABS system needs servicing or is it a sensor that needs to be replaced?
To reset the alarm on a 1999 Town Car, put the key in the ignition and turn the ignition to on then off twice. This should turn the alarm off if you cannot get it to turn off otherwise. If this does not work, then the alarm is probably an aftermarket and the best thing to do is to disconnect the negative battery cable.
if it's like older jetta's or most imports you need a special tool{or a channel lock pliers} to turn the piston back in
