Good judgment is a character trait. Showing good judgment is when a person thinks about the consequences of an action, and decides the best outcome predicted will be positive will influence the action taken. For example, if a person is tempted to do something illegal but decides the consequences are negative therefor decides not to commit the crime, this is good judgment.
