The largest Memory Stick card you can use in your Sony Cybershot DSC P71 is 256MB http://www.mymemory.co.uk/compatible-memory/Digital_Cameras/Sony/Sony_Cybershot_DSC_P71
If I'm not wrong its not possible for your phone. You need a phone with a Symbian OS 9.1/above. Get a Nokia (Probably Nseries) and buy Mobiola Webcam. It uses your phone back/front camera to use as the webcam. It can reach up to 5.0 megapixels.
To use the camera you need software too use it. If you search your computer you will probably find some crapware webcam photo taker. If not download some webcam software that can take pictures, like Google's Picassa.
Yes. Although you will kill your cam after a few months, if the usage is intensive.
Just FYI, I am Running Windows 7 Home Premium when i try to plug camera in nothing happens please help!

USB streaming may work, but is not a feature on the SONY HDR-XR500V. There have been rumors about a firewire port that connects to you computer then you can use it as a webcam possibly. From what I know, it cannot be used as a webcam.
