∙ 13y agoIt depends upon the context. If you want to say that Robert and you did something, you say "Robert and I did something." In such a case, "Robert and I" is the subject of the sentence. If you want to say that something happened to Robert and you, you say "Something happened to Robert and me." In that case, "Robert and me" is the object of the preposition "to".
The easy way to know which one to use is to try the sentence without "Robert" and see whether it sounds right. For example, you wouldn't say "Me went to the store", so you wouldn't say "Robert and me went to the store." You wouldn't say "The ceiling fell in on I", so you wouldn't say "The ceiling fell in on Robert and I."
