When you wind up the gear the BBs get fed into a chamber which loads them into the gun. You have to wind up the gear until you hear a click click CLICK then it is loaded. You have to do that before you can fire. When you shoot a BB the winding weakens. So whenever you can wind it back up until it does that or it will take you longer when the gears need to be winded back up to full spring.

there are many kinds of airsoft clips in which the technology is very differant in many. your normal spring pistol clip works by having a tube type thing in which a spring is at the bottom pushing the bbs up which allows the bb feeder to push the bb into the firing mechanism. but there are some high AEG weapons in which the clip has a chamber and you have to spin a wheel at the bottom to push all the bbs up to the bb fireing mechanism.
