Dictatorships work because everybody is doing something like a job and the economy is flourishing and no one is on the streets.

Very bad answer. Dictatorships are not ECONOMIC systems, but governmental systems. A Dictatorship can have widespread poverty (Mao's China, Tito's Yugoslavia) or be rolling in riches (Caesar's ROme, Chavez Venezuela)

Many dictatorships were troubled by many unemployed and irate in the streets.

It strongly depends on the personal background of each individual.

For the people in favor of the dictatorship, life may get easier and success will be faster to make.

For the ones who have no opinion or are against it, dictatorships can affect those physically (not obeying the totalitarian law) and even mentally.

Even though for some dictatorships can be very useful in life, for the majority of people suppression is here the key word to use.

Take in mind that this is a very general answer to a very general question.

Dictatorship can affect a country. When there is a dictator, he or she will dictate everything that goes on in that country. People that live in that country usually do not have much freedom. There is often violence.

An individual, supported by a political faction, has supreme power in a nation. Opposition to the dictator's rulings are not tolerated very far.Criticism of the dictator is suppressed or punished.

A dictatorship can be sustained for decades - it was in Ceasar's Rome, Mao's China, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's USSR, Tito's Yugoslavia, Franco's Spain.
