This is an actual example of evolution. Evolution counts on the fact that there are genetic differences in individuals of a species. Evolution also says that the environment selects for those individuals best suited for that environment. In the case of the HIV virus or other microbes, if their environment has medication in it, (which we hope will destroy them) but if a few survive because they have genes that allow them to, they will flourish in this medicated environment. They will become resistant. That medication can't be used again. This is one reason not to use medication unless really needed.
Adaptation/Evolution
Pathogensity is the ability of pathogen to cause infection. Highly pathogenic infections are hard to treat because of the resistance to medication. A very current and good example of this type of infection is MRSA which is highly resistant to anti-biotics, etc.
First make sure you are following proper dosage recommendation.Otherwise, there are many strains of bacteria that are resistant or completely not susceptible to amoxicillin. So you should go back to your Doctor and receive a prescription for a different medication. It should be Augmentin, which inhibits the bacteria's ability to resist the amoxicillin, or a different class medication like azithromycin. Some times your Doctor will recommend some lab work to determine to which medication your bacteria that is infecting you is susceptible. and that it is definitely a bacterial infection
The Edge of Evolution: The Search for the Limits of Darwinism is about the evolution and that it can produce changes within species, but there is a limit to the ability of evolution to generate diversity, and this limit (the "edge of evolution") is somewhere between species and orders.
Hardness
the unequal ability of individuals to survive and reproduce
adaptation or evolution are the two most common.
The ability to reproduce.
No, drug-susceptible cells and drug-resistant cells are equally likely to infect a new host.
Nylon is a synthetic polymer, and has no ability to absorb water - much like plastic.

There are no examples of 'evolution' happening today. People look at a type of bird in England then a bird in Hawaii. It's the same type of bird, but they look different. Unfortunately, many people's answer is,"Evolution!". The truth is, the birds probably flew there, laid some eggs, and began to adapt to the weather. Naturally, you wear different clothes in Europe than in the tropics. Adaption, not evolution is the answer.Answer:There are numerous examples of present day evolution. The most common is the ability of microbes and bacteria to evolve to not be treatable by old antibiotics. On a larger scale we have only recently (3,000 years or so) evolved the ability to digest milk when we are adults. This mutation occurred independently in both Africa and Europe.Even more recently some populations in Africa are developing an increasing ability to resist AIDS. Again because the people with the changes to allow them to survive are surviving and passing on inheritable traits.
