try this on , on sub-sonic aircraft convergent exhaust nozzles are used the nozzle comes to a point ">" . what happens is the air moving through cant escape all at once so it builds up pressure, some people are under the misconception that the velocity of the air is the thing pushing the plane forward but it's really the pressure.

How does thrust and lift help an airplane fly?

Lift keeps an aircraft up, thrust pushes it forward.

Why thrust reversers instead of aircraft braking system?

Thrust reverser systems are featured on many jet aircraft to help it slow down just after touch-down. This reduces wear on the brakes and enables shorter landing distances.

How are lifts and thrusts used on an airplane?

Lift and thrust is what enables an airplane to maintain flight. Lift is generated by the wings, and thrust is generated by the engine or propeller. Combined they enable the aircraft to fly. Air currents and up-drafts, on an aircraft that does not have an engine (like a glider), also help generate lift and thrust to keep such an aircraft in the air. However, gliders get into the air by being towed by an airplane, or by a sort of sling-shot.

How does thurst help an aeroplane to fly?

Does plane reverse?

Many propeller airplanes have variable pitch propellers, these can be set to a reverse pitch which allows the aircraft to back up on the ground and can also be used to help an aircraft slow down once it has landed on the runway. On a jet there is reverse thrust, which is a deflector(s) which when engaged forces the jet thrust forward past the outside of the jet engine. This also allows a jet to back up on the ground and can be used to slow down a jet once it has landed.

2 forces that help overcome gravity?

Lift and Thrust

What helps an airplane overcome drag so it can thrust forward?

Aerodynamics help reduce drag so the engines can produce thrust.

How does thrust help an airplane?

Thrust is the force that provides an airplane its speed. Thrust must be brought to a certain level and maintained in order for the plane to move at a speed that is sufficient to create lift from the wings.

Why do girls thrust their hips when aroused?

What is its thrust drag and lift of a wasp when it flies?

The thrust, drag and lift are caused by the motion of a wasp's wings when it flies. These three things help a wasp become airborne.
