This is not really an 'answer' but more of a 'theory'.
In current times, we tend to believe only what we can prove. Unless something is documented, it has a tendancy to be labelled 'impossible'.
I speculate, that if a 'collective' mind of like minded individuals attempted the same thing, whether the combined energy would be great enough to do things that individuals perhaps could not.
For example, most of the world 'believes' in a God of one form or another, yet there is no scientific proof to substantiate this as yet. So is it not inconceivable that if enough people 'believed' in levitation for instance, if this would indeed be possible?
The human body is an excellent 'housekeeper'. If you do not need something, you don't have it. We no longer have tails, yet our coccyx is proof that we did have one at some point. The majority of scientific studies says we use approximately 10-20% of our brains, so why is the rest of it still there? Perhaps it is this area that handles things such as telepathy, telekenesis etc which was know to our ancestors, but has been forgotten by us?
Of course I can't prove this, but it's a thought!
10,000 years ago geothermal energy served as a source of warmth and cleansing while the minerals of geothermal energy was used for a source of healing

Nuclear energy is used as a source of heat. The heat from the reactor is used to heat up water and the steam moves a turbine that generates electricity. It's the same principal with a coal power plant, only the source of heat is different.
At least 2000 years ago the Romans used hot springs for bathing and health. The hot springs were heated by underground heat, which is the meaning of geothermal.
Yes. The amount of energy depends on the organism and how long ago it died.
