Computers, and more significantly their Periferals, generate lots of Heat.

Sorry Friend, computers do cause global warming. Read this:

A screen saver is not an energy saver. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, 75% of all the electricity consumed in the home is standby power used to keep electronics running when those TVs, DVRs, computers, monitors and stereos are "off." The average desktop computer, not including the monitor, consumes from 60 to 250 watts a day. Compared with a machine left on 24/7, a computer that is in use four hours a day and turned off the rest of the time would save you about $70 a year. The carbon impact would be even greater. Shutting it off would reduce the machine's CO2 emissions 83%, to just 63 kg a year.

You mean what technology causes global warming... right? Well, if you believe in such a thing, and have good reason to believe in global warming, then here are some of the things that cause it.

They say that carbon emissions increased dramatically at the start of the industrial revolution. This included:

factories

coal burning

oil burning

top soil erosion from deforestation

Later we blame

cars, trains, ect. (anything that gives off CO2 as a byproduct from combustion)

then we blame anything that uses CFC's (chlorofluorocarbons) as a propellant for any substance or a substance that contains these... these include:

hairspray

white-out

inhalers (for Asthma or bronchitis)

air conditioners or refrigerators

Computers like most household gadgets use electricity which is made (usually) by burning coal and using the energy given off from the coal to turn some turbines which create electricity using static.

Though solar panels and wind turbines do not create any pollution which contributes to global warming.

This equipment all run on electricity, which is mostly produced by burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). This burning releases carbon dioxide, which is one of the greenhouse gases.

A computer, in itself, does nothing to cause Global Warming. The energy needed to manufacture and run a computer is usually produced by burning fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas). This burning emits pollutants that may cause Global Warming. Hydro-Electric Power produces no pollution that is emitted into the atmosphere. Power Plants fueled by fossil fuels create a "carbon footprint" that may contribute to Global Warming.

Yes, because we made the ozone layer thicker with the fumes and wastes from cars, factories, etc.
