Best Answer

Revelation is mystical [having divine meaning] in that it's a prophecy [history told in advance] of the Day of the Lord... the end time return of Jesus Christ's wrathful return to earth and the conclusion of God's plan for the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth and man's ultimate salvation.

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto Him, to show unto His servants things which must shortly come to pass... Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand." (Rev.1:1-3)
