That depends...when I vacationed there, I spent 8 days there so that i could do the following:
Go to each of the parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios (which used to be called MGM Studios))
Go to Downtown Disney, the huge shopping area. Downtown Disney also includes DisneyQuest, which is a huge building with many different attractions and video game-type rides inside. (It's so much fun!) There's also Cirque Du Soliel and Pleasure Island (though I heard they might be getting rid of Pleasure Island soon.)
Visit each of the resorts, i.e. the Grand Floridian, Polynesian Resort, etc.
And finally, the two water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
When I stayed there, we booked an extra two days or so to go back and do anything that we wanted to do over again, i.e go back to Epcot again, go to Downtown Disney again, etc.
Then again, we were very hurry-hurry for at least the first 6 days...we really got stuff done. If you're more of a laid-back person and not as rushed, then you may want to think about booking more time to enjoy Disney World.
