Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system and it is also the 5th planet farthest from the sun. The closer to the sun a planet is, the more rotations it makes in a shorter amount of time. It has 63 moons. It is bigger than all of the other planets in the solar system put together.

Jupiter has the fastest full rotation of all the planets. It completes a rotation in just under 10 hours.

It is the 4th brightest object in the sky after the sun, moon and Venus. Sometimes Mars appears brighter.

It is not a solid planet but rather composed completely of gases. There are many storms within these gases including hydrogen, helium and molecular hydrogen.. One of the storms produces what is known as The Great Red Spot.
