It all depends what grade you are in. For collège (6th grade to 10th grade) the average lesson time in a day is 6 to 8 hours. For lycée (11th to 13th grade), the average lesson time is from 7 to 9 hours. Lunch time is 1 hour, and you have two 15 minute recesses at 10 am and at 3 pm. So the total is about 9 hours in collège in 10 hours in lycée.
The day starts at 8 am and finishes at 5 pm for collège and 6 pm for lycée, but these times vary with your time table.
8:30 am - 1:30 pm Mon-Sat.
Actually most schools in Italy, though not all, do not open on a Saturday. In a similar fashion to most western countries they teach from Monday to Friday.
School starting times can vary but usually Italian schools only teach in the morning, up until lunchtime.
8.30 am-12.30 pm Monday to Friday is normal.
4 hours a day and 28 hours a week.
For kids
Kindergarden ( ages 3 to 6) 8:30-11:30 13:30-16:30 and 8:30-11:30 on Wednesday
Primary ( ages 6 to 11) same as kindergarden
Collège ( ages 11 to 15) 8:00-12:00 13:00-17:00
Lycée ( ages 15 to 18) 8:00-12:00 13:00-18:00
But that's the maximum possible, it really varies from one class to the next due to differing timetables. It's also possible to eat from 11 to 12 or from 13 to 14, that depends on the timetable. You also have 2 recesses of 15 minutes at 10:00 and at 3:00.
