there was/is nothing typical about this war. some of those who thought they were going for 8 months to a year, ended up being there 18 months to two years. others whom had fulfilled their obligation and were retired from the service, were called back. so what do you mean by typical.
There were no "tours" in DS. The Storm only lasted about 45 days.
