∙ 13y agoThe question "How long does it take for chicken pox to heal" is a bit like the string question (how long is a piece of string?).
If you take anti-virals (internally - eat lots of licorice! - to stop the spread of the virus, and externally - anything like essential oil of lavender - to stop the topical growth of the virus), then healing and a halt to the virus will occur within a week.
Scarring will happen if a sore has erupted untreated ... for a late treatment, topical Vitamin E oil (or Jojoba oil, which is high in Vitamin E and one of the closest oils to our own skin sebum structure) will go a long way to reducing the long-term scarring impact of Chicken Pox, as Vitamin E directly aids the growth of skin.
