∙ 14y agoTo my knowledge I do not think there are any accurate numbers as to how many people actually lost their jobs. Record keeping was not as efficient during the 1930s as it is today. Plus, many people never reported being unemployed because of the feeling at the time that it was something to be ashamed about if you could not provide for your family. We do have fairly accurate unemployment rates:
