1st measure the area of the oil bottle LxWxH to get square footage. subtract .3 from total to count for bottle shape, unless using a case box. then calculate same square footage for container 20'XWxH. subtract your first number from the second number.this will be a close estimate. it depends on if your filling it top top bottom in cardboard boxes or just toosing empty bottles in container,or stacking pallets.if stacking pallets take container square footage and subtract pallet size (by calculation) by number of pallets.
The answer will depend on the width of the truck as well as the height to which the pallets can be stacked.

A 48 foot trailer can hold about 24 standard pallets. Each pallet is 4 feet by 4 feet, and the trailer is about 8 feet wide.
You can fit 24 pallets straight in or 26 sideways. You might only be able to get 22 if your pallets are not standard size or the equipment is some what outdated. -ELChatter
Typically 10 standard wine pallets, which are approx. 1.2 x 1.0 meters in basal area, can fit in a 20 ft container. If you are stacking these pallets 4 high and layering 14 cases on a pallet you get 56 X 10 cases or 560 cases in the container. I don't believe there is an problem layering the pallets 5 high for 70 cases/pallet and then obviously 70 x 10 or 700 cases in a single container.

A standard pallet is 48" x 40" . You should be able to fit 24 skids in a 48 foot trailer. There are ways to get more.
