Sure we pray for the Pope. He is the Head of God's Church and the Holy Father of the catholic people.

We all pray he is. However, he has only been pope for a short time and it will take time for us to know what sort of pope we now have. Right now (early 2015) he has many Catholic baffled. Some days he seems very conservative and other times he seems ultra liberal.

Muslims pray at least 5 times a day. They may pray more.
Hindu faith does not prescribe it directly. Hindus can pray as many as times the devotee likes.

Catholics have never had to seek the permission of the pope to pray to God the Father, Son or Holy Spirit. Nor do they need permission from the pope to pray to the saints for intercession.

People pray with just about anybody. Many times people will pray in their place of worship with other worshipers. Also people pray at home with friends and family (think saying a prayer before a meal). And many times people pray by themselves.
