Uh like billions Well it pumps like 10,00000 gallons a day!
11million gallons of oil was spilt
Oil in the Gulf of MexicoNo one knows how many gallons have spilled and estimates vary greatly. It's certainly in the millions of gallons, with more being spilled daily.
About 200,000 gallons per day so that would mean about 3,600,000
The Gulf of Mexico
The Mega Borg tanker spilled oil into the Gulf of Mexico in 1990.
The estimates at this time (with the well capped for about two weeks now) are that about 180 million (180 plus six zeros) gallons of oil spilled into the Gulf. The Gulf contains about 643 quadrillion (643 plus fifteen zeros) gallons of water. That means that there are 64 billion and three hundred million gallons of water for every 18 gallons of oil. Another way to put it is that for every spilled gallon of oil there are more than three and a half billion gallons of oil to dilute it.
The BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico was from the Transocean Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig that exploded and spilled 42,000 gallons of oil into the ocean every day. It finally ended on July 15, 2010.
