people are starting to turn to Wind Turbines because they are finding that they are economically safer and there cattel are not interested in the wind powered stations. i hope that answers your Question ifnot contact me on 0405072422
Well, loooks like th way to find this out is to take the easy to find megawatt output of wind power in the usa and divide it by 1.5, that being the most common output of a wind turbine in the USA. You can check your answer by checking the wind farm descriptions on web sites and catalogs for the published number. The answer is approximate and complicated by a number of factors, larger turbines generate more power, a large and growing application of alternative wind technologies, but still not probably statistically significant, are being created and offshore is not taken nto account. Well, that should get you going.
The numbers keep changing due to new construction etc., but a rough estimate would be 20,000 onshore turbines.
Wind turbines create an electricity which is made from natural resources,(wind, hence the name wind turbine!) This electricity is much better for the environment because you don't have to burn natural gas or use the mains. :-)
Wind turbines use one or two acres each, with plenty of room between them to avoid air turbulence that can impede airflow.
Wind turbines have been around for 124 years. It has been around from 1888 - 2012.Texas and California are the leaders in wind generation in the United States.
According to the British Wind Energy Association (BWEA), there are currently 2,386 wind turbines in use at the moment, producing some 3,301.09 megawatts of power. There are another 598 in the process of been built, and some 3,500 in the planning proposal stage, although BWEA expect two thirds of these will not receive planning permission.
it will mean that there will be more fossil fuels to burn in the future and then the normal electricity to use x
None actually, Homes do not use wind turbines and if they did they would be on the roof rather than inside :-)
yes wind is a renewable source of energy and that is what turbines use
Wind turbines use the wind to rotate blades that turn a rotor - which creates electricity. They range from very small turbines supplying energy for battery charging systems (for example on boats or in homes), to turbines grouped on wind farms supplying electricity to the national grid.Wind power helps the environment, because, it lasts for as long as the planet Earth is around. Wind power does not pollute the wind, it can be used almost anywhere it can be hooked up to an electrical outlet, and there are many ways to harness wind power: Offshore, onshore, tall wind turbines (hundreds of feet tall), short wind turbines (tens of feet tall), wind turbines on rooftops, airborne wind turbines and wind turbines that are built by do it yourself people. Wind power does not kill as many bats or birds as anti wind power turbine people claim, and it is not that noisy.
So far there are no known reasons to use radioactive substances in wind turbines.
Lots of places. For example, 40% of Denmark's electricity comes from wind turbines.
If you mean energy then you use wind turbines
energy water
you could use wind turbines on wind farms
Wind Turbines are very convenient and they are very recommended. Wind turbines can dramatically decrease your use of electricity and thus decrease your electric bill.
No. Wind blows the blades, and the pole attached to the blades is attached to the turbines, which physically turns the turbines, and the movement of the turbines create electricity.
Yes. The island of Hawaii use wind turbines, such as Maui and Oahu .
Electricity by converting it using wind turbines.
