Generally it takes 5 years to study law in Jamaica. 3 years for LLB, at the University of the West Indies or University of Technology, and then another 2 years at Norman Manley Law School.

There are some students who get to do it in 4 years. They are classified as direct entrants, which would be applicants with a previous degree, possibly in a related subject area. But this is the exception and not the rule.
