But the benefits raise that value considerably, such as almost instant rank, retention pay (you get as much as 60K to stay on after your initial 4 year commitment, housing allowances so you don't have to live on base, food allowance, paid vacations that start with 30 days. And, the experience will make you a tough lawyer in the civilian world once you retire from service.
Civilian attorneys charge around $200 an hour, but we'll never know how many clients they have or hour many hours they put in, if they do contingency work, are on retainer lot of factors.
