How much millet should parakeets eat daily?
My budgie will eat an entire twig of millet in a day if I leave it in the cage, and ignore his pellets -- so I've taken it out of his cage and only give it to him under supervision and when we are training as a treat. They should never eat more than one full twig a week, they're a healthy snack but they are high in fat and he will become overweight if given too much. Good luck!

You grow millet for your parakeets by planting the seed from thestalks you purchase (there are always a few in the bottom of thebag) in rich soil that is a little sandy for good drainage. Do notplant the seeds very deep, just cover them with soil slightly.Millet doesn't like to be waterlogged. You c…an grow it in your yardor in pots. The birds love to nibble the green shoots as they beginto come up, so as you thin the crop, don't toss these tidbits out!The millet plant will grow, depending on the variety, to about 1foot or a bit more. There are some types that grow up to 15 feet, but I've never run into that variety, whatever type it might be.The red millet I plant grows to about 1 foot. The seed head beginsto form, and if you really, really want to make your birds happy, once the seeds develop but before any begin to turn brown at all,let them have a stalk. They will flip out! Only allow the milletthat you plan to dry and store to turn brown before harvesting. Ihave had no problem with birds coming into the area and eating mymillet because I guess most outdoor birds don't as fond of it -- ormaybe because I feed them their own seed mix and they don't have totry to get to those stalks. Also, plant the other seeds from yourbird's seed mix. Wheat or oats are relished by the little fellows, again best picked when still green but you can harvest some thathas dried for serving later. Everything in your bird's seed mixwill grow. IF you plant the seeds and maintain them as you wouldany other weed (in order words, give them some water and ignorethem) and they do not sprout and come up, you have either plantedthem too deep OR your seed is no good and you shouldn't feed it toyour parakeet! The total amount of calories from fat should make up around 30% of your diet. Each gram of fat contains 9kcals. So for example, If you were consuming 1500kcals a day then 30% percent of those calories should be fat. Calculations: 1500kcals / 100 X 30 = 450kcals 450kcals / 9 = 50 grams So… a person consuming 1500kcals a day should consume around 50 grams of fat per day. This does not mean to say all these calories should be saturated fats (bad fats). These calories should be consume with unsaturated and polyunsaturated fats (good fats) as well. For an average person on a 2000 calorie diet, 20g should be the minimum intake of overall fats, with a maximum of 60g. No one should consume over 20g of saturated fats, and trans fats should be avoided completely. (MORE)
Well parakeets don't eat other parakeets but they do eat the eggs that don't hatch. :/

A cat should eat enough calories to satisfy its metabolic needs - this is based upon age, weight and exercise level. For a typical 10# adult cat, approximately 1 cup of dry kibble or 2-3 cans of cat food (the larger size, not the Fancy Feast size) should be adequate. A cat with chronic renal failur…e (crf) should modify the diet to decrease the protein and sodium content but the calorie count should remain consistent (unless the cat also needs to lose weight). There are several prescription diets available from your veterinarian that have been specifically formulated for cats with renal disease - they are more expensive, but they are also the best dietary option for cats with low kidney function. It depends a lot on your lifestyle. Some people naturally have an active lifestyle. (Walking instead of always driving, for example.) But most people should have about 30 minutes to an hour of exercise a day, as a minimum. In 1 day you should have 30minutes - 1hour of exercise!
A baby scorpion eats loads of micro crickets. A adult scorpion eats loads of meal worms.
It depends on the height and weight of the girl. But an average 13 year old girl should get between 1,500 to 2,500 calories a day.
I give my 65 lb. Aussie 1 cup a day. he is a bit of a couch potato (like me) but he stays healthy and not getting fat.
The average adult should have a minimum of 2000mg-3000mg of potassium per day. This can be achieved through the natural consumption of certain kinds of foods, particularly fruits and vegetables. There are circumstances where potassium is readily lost and needs to be replenished in excess of the mini…mum daily amount listed above. The number is smaller for children and infants. Anyone with concerns of potassium deficiency, due to food allergies or special dietary requirements, where natural sources for potassium are precluded; should consult a doctor about the exact dosage they need to supplement each day. Potassium is essential for muscle health, particularly the heart. A deficiency, among other things, can cause muscle cramping and in extreme cases, can cause death. People on "low carb diets" will find they need to take special care to get the proper amount of potassium each day, as potassium is used in the ketosis process to diffuse byproduct chemicals left in the bloodstream; therefore additional potassium is needed regularly to replenish the body's potassium stores. Potassium is diffused by the kidneys, through sweat, urine or other bodily excretions. In this manner, excess potassium is removed from the body through urination and sweating. Barring kidney trouble, it is difficult to actually overdose on potassium, but not impossible. People should consume more potassium after intense sweating, if your diet is high in salt or in case of abnormal or extraordinary bodily excretions (such as vomiting or diarrhea) as these will result in a loss of potassium in the excreted bodily fluids. Supplemental potassium can also be needed if you are on certain kinds of heart medicine. Muscle cramps are typically a sign of one being low in potassium. (MORE)

There are no recommended daily intake of eggs. So there is no amount you should consume daily. But just make sure that you don't eat so many eggs that the intake of cholesterol is higher than the amount the body can produce on its own.
There are eight normal requirements that the adolescent should have a day. These eight requirements are calories; protein which vegetarians exceed these level; fats which are gained from many junk foods though only 30% of it is needed; calcium which can be provided from green, leafy vegetables; iron… which is important to adolescents for growth; zinc which can be found in eggs, seafood and dairy products; fibre which can be obtained from fruits, vegetables, grains, beans and cereals; and vitamins which normal diets are not deficient in vitamins. The amount of protein someone should digest is there body weight in pounds for bodybuilders however the recommended intake for a man is 45 grams of protein daily Around 65 grams a day for most people consuming 2000 calories. Athletes and weight lifters need much more, around 1.6-1.7 g/kg body weight… (a 150 pound weightlifter would need around 110 grams of protein per day). Many athletes believe they need more than that, but the evidence that protein beyond 1.7 g/kg body weight does anything beneficial is scant. It probably won't hurt, but it probably won't help either. So if you are diabetic or on pro-diabetes you shouldn't have sugar at all. And what diabetic means is it means when someone ate too much sugar or other foods that contain sugar. So that's why we always check the nutrition facts which is on the back of a pruduct but only a product that you can eat so… its edible but you can also drink so the nutrition facts can also be on a drink. So if you're diabetic you should not have sugar but for your diet you can use splenda they get it at any store and you can also use that for your delights and cakes and brownie's etc. And if you have pro- diabetes you should get splenda till it goes away a little. Okay so how much sugar should you get daily? If you are not one of the above than you can have a 15 sugars of limit each day. But just because I said that doesn't mean you can have it everyday. Try to get you limit up to 5 only because that is way good for you and try to eat more vegetables and fruits. (MORE)
A parakeet will eat on and off all day. It is recommended to alwayskeep their food bowl full so that they can eat when they want to.
that's hard to answer with out more information. It all depends on the size and age of your horse. it also depends on how much work your horse does. on the back of the sack of horse feed.. it tells you the guideline daily amounts and how much your horse should approximately be eating
This depends on how much you need to eat but if you want the answerI suggest you look it up on a health website such as health.com.
Labradors are known for being stomachs on legs. A good amount of food is from 2 to 2.5 cups of food per day. The higher quality the food the better. You can also give your dog treats throughout the day. And, if your dogs stomach can handle it, you can give them table scraps as well.
I know is parakeet cannot eat food that you have bitten from and parakeets cannot have chocolate. Highly allergic to chocolate.
Well im in cooking class with a pretty good teacher and she says about onle like 2 tables spoon newtest3THE RDA IS SIX GRAMS.BUT IF YOU EAT PROCESSED FOODS DONT ADD ANY TO YOUR FOOD AS ITS LOADED WITH SALT AS IT IS
None. You do not need 'added' (refined/processed) sugar in your daily diet. Sugar from corn syrup or table sugar adds no nutritional value whatsoever.
If you're talking about a growing puppy, feed them liberallybecause they grow up fast, and I mean fast! Especially is they'reGerman German Shepherds as opposed to American German Shepherdswhich are smaller. Once they reach their full growth -my two dogsgot to this point at 2 1/2 years old- they shou…ld eat twice a day,two cups of food each if they're fixed, three if they're not. Also,I include in one of their meals an egg, some milk, cheese oryogurt, and some canned food. Try their food to be good qualitybecause it will show in their fur and their energy level. A goodway to know if food is good is to smell it; the smell should becloser to meat than to corn flakes. Good luck with your dog, starttraining him/her early, otherwise they will outsmart you. Water isfuel for German Shepherds, they drink a lot so have always a bigcontainer with fresh water available for your dog. Ps if you want to make your dog extra big feed him alot a day like3 times and lots of water and milk and walk it 4 times a day andkeep him ou in a shed or somthing that's good training . Hope this helps XD (MORE)
I personally have a blue parakeet and have found that he eats from 1 to 4 spoons of food each day. The food I give him is a mixture of bell pepper seeds and regular bird seed and he loves eat. So then I change the food every week or so, usually if he is running low. I hope my answer has helped.
fast food = unhealthy its all about the calories. an average man should take around 2500and around 2000 for women Women should eat 1500 to 2000 calories a day and men should eat2000 to 2500 calories a day. 1 meal per meal time(not always) As much as you are hungry. Do not confuse this with how much… you want to eat, this is how much you need to eat, as inwhen your stomach is no longer asking for food rather than how muchyour brain wants to eat. If you start listening like this, you will find yourself unable topig out on sweets and you shouldn't put on any weight. (MORE)

Are you concerned about how much your bird is eating because of the cost, or because your bird is becoming obese?. If you are concerned because of the cost, I hate to be harsh, but you should have thought of that before you got a pet. Birds have very high metabolisms and eat a lot relative to their… body size. If your bird is becoming obese, there could be several reasons. One is that your bird is not eating nutritionally appropriate food. A plain seed diet is very high in calories but does not have all of the micronutrients that your bird needs. Try offering tiny pieces of fresh fruits and vegetables in addition to seeds or pellets. Another reason is a metabolic problem. Your bird might be having trouble processing the macronutrients (fat, protein, and carbohydrates) which can make him fat. Birds can also develop diabetes, which can make them obese, but sometimes they develop diabetes because they are obese (humans have the same problem). Really, only your veterinarian will know for sure. Make sure that your veterinarian is an avian specialist because most mainstream vets don't get much information on bird nutrition and metabolic disorders. (MORE)

Buy a high-quality dog food and follow the directions on the package. It'll tell you how much to feed your dog based on weight and age.
There are so many variables I can not give you absolute answer. First: Shelties vary a lot in size. The breed "standard" calls for a range of 13 inches to 16 inches at the shoulder. That is a big difference in itself, and then considering they can often range from 12 inches to 18 inches. So, size… is a factor. Secondly: just as people, each dog varies in their metabolism. Thirdly: activity level. Fourthly: the brand of dog food. The best gauge to determine if the amount you are feeding your dog is his body. Look at him and feel him. You want to "just" be able to feel his ribs and his hips. But you don't want the bones protruding. A good quality food, first listed ingredient "meat". Some decent kibble is Innova, Canidae, Premium Choice, Natural Balance, Wellness, Eagle Pack. There are many others on the market more recently as well. For a "larger" Sheltie, I would start around 1/2 cup in the morning and 1/2 cup in the eve. See how he does, and vary from there. (MORE)

There is no correct answer for this, as how much a kitten eats can depend on several factors: The kitten's age, size, activity level, appetite and the quality of food being fed. A cat's food is also a huge factor in how much it eats: A cat will eat far more if fed a lower quality food to get the nut…rition it needs, and will eat much less if fed a premium quality food that has a high meat content and no grains. Kittens on growth spurts also tend to eat much more also. Kittens can eat as little as 100g or 200g of canned/pouched food and as much as 400g or 500g in a day. Kittens often need much more food than an adult cat as they are still growing and developing. It is advised to feed as much as it wants until it reaches a year old. Be sure to feed small but frequent meals, especially for younger kittens as they have small stomachs. (MORE)

You must fill your parakeet's feeder at least once a day. And don't worry, you parakeet will NOT over eat. For an adult parakeet, on average, this works out to about 4 teaspoons of formulated bird pellets (not seed) per day (about 1/3 an ounce or 14 grams per day), perhaps 1.5 pounds monthly. Pe…llets are nutritionally balanced and a great way to meet all of the parakeet's food requirements easily. When feeding seed as part of your parakeet's diet, make sure you empty it completely and fill it each day, because empty hulls make make the dish appear full when there is no actual food left. Despite common belief an all seed diet is not adequate for a budgie . If fed only on seed you may be damaging it's liver and risking illness . A good diet for a budgie is a mix of budgie pellets/crumbles and a good quality seed mix (with as many different seeds as possible). Budgies also require fresh vegetables (spinach, broccoli, corn, carrot, etc) every one to two days as well as constant access to a source of calcium (cuttlebone) and a mineral/iodine block. Most budgies love spray millet; offer in small quantities as it is fattening. You can make your parakeets diet more complete by also giving your parakeet any of the following: cooked beans, whole wheat bread, cooked rice, pasta; fresh fruits such as apples, oranges, and pears, fresh broccoli, carrots, yams, spinach, dandelion greens, other green/orange fruits and veggies. They also enjoy an occasional piece of hard boiled egg (without the shell, of course) or tuna (packed in water), and mealy worms or pesticide-free dandelion greens. Some things to avoid with budgies are "junk food." apple seeds, chocolate, alcohol, avocado, salt and sugar. Also avoid asparagus, aubergine or eggplant, cabbage, caffeine (tea and coffee), junk food, milk and cream, raw potato, and rhubarb (including the leaves). Wash all vegetables before giving them to your budgie as most have been around pesticides. (MORE)

Millet is not dangerous for rabbits, and wild rabbits might eat some millet they come across. But pet rabbits shouldn't eat millet or any seeds or grains because they get enough of this food group as ingredients in their pellets. The majority of a rabbit's diet is plant matter; for pet rabbits, thi…s means grass hay, and some fresh leafy greens daily. Rabbits also eat pellets, and these take care of all their needs for grains, vitamins, and minerals. Any additional grains or seeds will lead to obesity and other health problems, even illness (GI stasis). If you want to give your rabbit a treat, a tiny serving of millet seeds is okay; but your rabbit would probably prefer a bite or two of fresh fruit or veg (like carrot, apple, squash, or berries). See the related link below for more details about a healthy rabbit diet. (MORE)
