Brine shrimp do not need acidity, it will die in acidic water. It needs alkaline water though (PH around 8).

I buy shrimp regularly. They come in numbers of 12 to 48 in a 340 gm pack. So it depends what size you get. I would suggest a good portion is 4 of the Jumbo or 12 of the small.

Baby brine shrimp. You can find them at most petstores. These are the best option to feed them. They enhance colors and give the babies the correct vitamins they need which are vital to their survival. Make sure to feed them 4-8 times day.
you can steam them or grill them. i reccomend grilling them. Here is a good recipe. You will need 3 big cloves of garlic minced 1 scotch bonnet pepper minced fresh basil shredded salt black pepper 1.5 teaspoons of curry 1 shallot minced in a small bowl combine the minced peppers, the shallots, garlic and basil then add the shrimp, then add 3 teaspoons of olive oil. allow it to marinate then put it on the grill
