It gets 18.2 inches annually. How winter works: There will be a big snowstorm that will be quite heavy and 2-8 inches of snow but unlike major cities like New York City, there will be snow on the ground in the city streets, and you will be able to go on the sidewalk and pick up powdery snow not some wet slush that will get you sick, the snow will stick for usually 5-7 days then a sudden 50 or 60 degree day that will melt the snow slowly maybe 7 hours, then for 3 days where it'll be raining and 60s highs and 50s lows then the next day there'll be late afternoon to early morning snowshower that will leave 0.5-1 inches of accumulation, then 3 regular 40s highs 20s lows where it'll be either partly cloudy or days with ice/sleet showers where at night there might be passing flurries that will leave up to a 1/8 inch accumulation then the next day will be another big snowstorm and the cycle starts again. So, if you wanna catch the "big" snowstorms i recommend you go around January 17-23 and if you want "warm" or mild days go around Febuary 9-14. But if you plan on staying 10-13 days you'll see a mix of these days.
