plentiful
Understory - The Middle LayerSmaller trees, bushes, and plants such as ferns, live in the understory. Not much sunlight reaches here, because the canopy blocks the sun. Still, many birds and animals make their home in the understory. Forest wildcats, such as the leopard, are excellent tree climbers. They will chase monkeys and squirrels through the understory for food.
Bats live in the understory layer of the rainforest. The understory is below the canopy and it's much easier for bats to fly in this layer.
It has a small amount of light that reaches the understory and forest floor because it has a limited source of sunlight left for the plants and animals to live in
not much
The understory is hot, damp, and the air is still. This part of the rainforest is under the leaves but above the ground. The understory is a tangle of shrubs, young trees, palms and woody plants that can grown in the shade of the taller trees. The small amount of light in the understory encourages the plants to think of smart ways to survive. The leaves of many of the plants are very large, so that they can absorb or soak in as much sunlight as possible. The plants in this layer of the forest hardly ever grow higher than twelve feet Many houseplants are found in this part of the rainforest (philodendrons, prayer plant, zebra plants, and peace lily, for example). These plants can live in your living room as well as the understory because both places get little sunlight.
Lots!
The canopy takes in about 15% of sunlight or less,it is warm and humid that is one of the main reasons why animal stay high above grounds.
The most.
Because there is no sunlight that far down.
The liitle amount of sunlight gets to the understorey of a tropical rainforest and the forest floor gets the slightest amount of light
There are four layers in the rainforest: Emergent:(top) Emergent trees are way up here! Canopy: Trees are aliened here. This is also known as the ceiling of the rainforest. UnderStory: (near bottom)Not much light is here. Most of the sunlight is trapped by the canopy. ForestFloor:(bottem) This is the darkest layer. Bugs are EVERYWHERE here!
All places on earth get sunlight. :-) Seriously, I live in a temperate rainforest here in the Pacific Northwest, and it gets plenty of sunlight. It is a mixture of sunlight AND rain that makes a rainforest grow.
