The Kapok tree is very tall, standing at 150 or higher, above all of the other trees. This gives it easy access to sunlight. In addition to that, the umbrella shape of the top of the tree helps it absorb all the sunlight it needs. Its roots are very long, going deep into the ground to gather moisture.
