It takes about 365.25 days, which is called a year.

There are approximately 365.242199 days in a year, which is one terran-solar orbit.

In the current (Gregorian) calendar, there are 365 days in a year except for leap years, in which there are 366 days (the extra 0.25 day from the 4 year in that period).

The small overage is removed by making years that end in "00" normal years, except when the hundreds value is also divisible by 4 (e.g. 1200, 1600, 2000 are leap years).

The earth takes one year to orbit the sun so that's 365 days. But to be precise it actually takes 365 days and one quarter of a day, which is why we have a leap year every four years. As four quarters of a day equal a whole day.

It takes approximately 365.25 earth days of 24 hours each to complete one orbit around the sun.

In calendars we just state 365 days, and we make up for the 0.25 days omitted in this calculation once every four years. This is called the 'leap year', where we have 366 days instead, with an extra day in February.

The average arc the Earth moves in one day is about 0.98 degrees or 59 arcminutes & 8 arcseconds.

However it is not as simple as this in the real world. Kepler laws prove that the Earth does not orbit in a perfect circle but in an ellipse with the sun at one focus. When it is closest to the sun it moves quicker that when it is furthest from the sun.

We count it as 365 days, but it's really 365.25. So every 4 years we have a leap year, in which one day added to 365 days, since four quarters of a day is one day.

365 days... or actually 365.25 days. The .25 days is made up by having a "leap year" or 366 days in the year every 4 years ---- 0.25 days x 4 = 1 extra day.
