It depends on what you consider a 'computer. In the early '70s (72, 73 or thereabouts) Texas Instruments introduced their first microprocessor calculators. As I recall, they did not do much more than basic math functions and they were not cheap (over $80 I believe). I stuck with my reliable 'Picket' aluminum slide rule!

ENIAC cost $500,000 and that was 1944 dollars. Multiply that by somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 to get cost in today's dollars.

When the first UNIVAC was sold to the Census Bureau it was sold for $250,000 because that is what the contract said. However Remington Rand calculated that to make a profit it should have sold for $2,500,000 so they rapidly raised prices on later production units.

Computers did not drop below $100,000 until about 1960.

Computers did not drop below $1,000 until mid-1970s with first low cost microprocessors (Apple-1 was $666) became available.
