You have to 16 years old to get your learners licence, there is a 2 stage learner licence in BC. The first stage, you have to have a supervisor with a valid Class 6 licence and is 25 years old supervising you, cannot exceed 60 KM/H, no passengers, and only daylight hours. You get to the second stage by completing a Motorcycle Skills Test, this removes the supervisor and the 60 KM/H restrictions. Depending on whether your a new driver or a valid class 5 driver then depends on how long you must keep your learners. A valid class 5 driver can do their road test soon after the skills test, while a new driver will have to wait up to a year after turning 16.
