I have a year akita/husky that is a year old and two monthes and weighs in at 75 pounds. And the vets say she could be heavier but she is healthy.. maybe a little skinny but not too much at all... She is a good dog with ALL dogs and ALL kids. She is the most beautiful thing i have laid my eyes on!.. except she can clear an 11 ft. fence without touching it.. and she likes to perch like a bird on the fences.
The average size of a male husky is 50 pounds. Males generally weigh between 45 and 60 pounds. While females weigh between 35 and 50 pounds. These dogs stand between 20-inches and 23.5-inches high.
The akita dog grows somewhere in between 36-40 inch. on average.
Akita dogs weight: for males weight is 85-130lbs, females weight is usually 65-110lbs.

No they shouldn't
The Akita ranges from 45kg-55kg depending on the bloodline.
Nutro dog food is really good for an akita because it keeps them healthy and helps them grow. Thanks ERIC

Akita will probably win. My female akita had a pitbul run at her and lock onto her neck. Akita's have thick fur and tough skin so it works as armor. So a pitbul would just be biting fur. Then my akita shook her head and the pitbul flipped over and then she jumped on it with her strength and snapped it's neck and killed it. Imagine what my big male akita who took on 3 big great danes and won could have done to the pitbul. I would say the Akita 100%. It depends on the dog though but usially the akita is going to win.
Akita tend to be calm animals. they are very respectful and loyal animals.
It depends very much on the Akita. They are big dogs, and could very easily kill a cat. It is possible that a kitten could be introduced to a household containing an Akita, and that they would learn to get along. It is more likely that a cat and a dog will be able to live in the same household if one or both start their time together as a juvenile; a puppy and a kitten can grow up together, and get along quite well as adults. It is not very common, however, because of the time it takes and because of the risk of losing one to the other.
Akita's are very independent. They are difficult to train and are big dogs that can be imposing. Labradors are very loyal and willing to please. They are easily trained and are very common. It depends what you want from the dog which is better for you.
I have one Pure bred Akita his name is "Sampson" he is very big and the name just fit him.
