AS long as there is a daddy in the cage she will continue to have babies though to many times is not good for them.

I had one that was always having babies til one day when they were born they all looked like aliens deformed out of 7 there was 1 Survivor that was normal.

they need to be separated from the daddy as soon as u know she is pregnant as the daddy will eat the newborns and like any one that can get pregnant give them a break

They can give birth 3-7 times a year if you don't give them breaks (which you should!)

It is usually best to leave baby guinea pigs with their mothers for about five to six weeks. During this time the mother will wean her young from milk and teach them to eat solid food.

If a child is proven not to be yours does the mother have the legal right to keep the name?

In this state the Mother can put any name she wishes on the birth certificate. It would be quite difficult to have your name removed from the birth certificate. It would be almost impossible to have the baby's name removed from the birth certificate. You could be Joe Smith and she could be Jane Miller. She could put the name Albert Einstein on the birth certificate and that would be the baby's name.

Do guppies lose their gravid black spot before giving birth?

No, what you are actually seeing when looking at the gravid spot is the eggs inside the mother fish. The gravid spot does not go away until the mother has given birth to her young. The spot will get very dark before the fry are born, because they will begin to hatch out of their eggs before the birth.

When can you handle a mouse that has given birth?

Wait until three days after the mother has given birth before you handle either mother or babies. After three days, you can safely handle the mother mouse, and the baby mice as well. That way, the mother and the mice has had a chance to bond and settle down from the hectics of giving birth and being born.
