DOT 3 and DOT 4 brake fluids are glycol based, making them very similar to antifreeze. It is best disposed of in the same manner as used antifreeze and sent for recycling.

Use only VW "pink" coolant!!! Rempve the coolant tank cap on a cold engine. There is a drain petcock on the driver's side of the 1.8T engined radiator. There is also an engine block drain on the driver's side of the engine near the oil filter flange. Drain the fluid and dispose of properly. Refill with genuine "pink" VW coolant after securing thr drains - DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! Start engine, attain operating temperature, check for leaks.
