The Supreme Court would not be able to declare any of the President's actions unconstitutional, for fear of being removed. The system of checks and balances would be broken.

Are the justices on the US Supreme Court Democrat or Republican?

US Supreme Court justices do not advertise their party affiliation because they're not supposed to consider partisan ideology when making decisions. Unfortunately, in the real world, ideology plays a major role in constitutional interpretation and decision-making. The current Court leans toward conservatism: five justices were appointed by Republican Presidents and often support the Republican agenda; four were appointed by Democratic Presidents and typically support a more liberal agenda. Sonia Sotomayor, one of President Barack Obama's Supreme Court appointees, has stated she's registered as an Independent.

What is the Head judge of the supreme?

This is the person better known as the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice is the leader of the court (the other justices are known as Associate Justices); the Chief Justice presides over hearings and sets the agenda for the business conducted by the Supreme Court. If there were an impeachment, the Chief Justice would preside over the trial in the Senate. The current Supreme Court Chief Justice is John Roberts.

How much power does the president have over health care?

He alone doesn't have that power, but any president may set the agenda for his political party, and try to persuade the congress to pass legislation in support of that agenda. President Obama, like other presidents before him, wanted to include health care reform on his agenda, and so he did.

Can a Chief Justice support a US President?

Justices of the Supreme Court are supposed to maintain neutrality and independence from politics and the other branches of government, so they're really not free to "support," advocate for, or endorse any politician or social or political cause. This is a large part of the reason they are appointed, rather than elected, and why they are commissioned for life, rather than limited terms of office - to insulate them from public and political pressures that might interfere with their ability to remain impartial.Nevertheless, Presidents generally nominate justices with whom they have compatible ideologies, and sometimes those with whom they are personally acquainted or have an established relationship. A justice may be said to "support" a President if his or her votes on the Court endorse policies or philosophies favorable to a President, assuming the vote can be justified with legitimate legal reasoning.Justices, even (or especially) Chief Justices, who exhibit a conflict of interest by following a particular political agenda (as opposed to a general, shared ideology) run the risk of facing articles of impeachment in the House of Representatives, particularly if the House is controlled by a party antagonistic to the White House.

How does the President formally communicate with Congress?

Often house members support the president's platform when they are elected at the same time, so a new president does not have to do much to get bills through the house. He always has leverage with his party members, since he can campaign for them and control federal spending in their districts or state. He can offer federal "plums" to any members of Congress to get key votes. He can push his agenda to the people and try to get them to pressure their representatives in Congress.

How long does the president have to pass his political agenda to congress?

How do justices vote alike?

Sometimes the reason that justices vote alike is because they all feel the same way. Justices vote based on their interpretation of the law. While they're not supposed to be biased based on their own political agenda, some of them vote that way as well.
