CURTIS MATHES ............ 002, 103, 112, 502, 506, 512, 601, 701, 704
Note: with some Philips remotes you must enter a 4 digit code so just add a zero before entering any of the numbers above. That's what worked for me.
Enter like that: 0002, 0103, 0112, 0502, 0506, 0512, 0601, 0701, 0704. ---- Code Entry Instructions
1) Press and hold the Setup button until the red
indicator stays on. Release the button.
2) Press and release the desired mode button (TV,
DVD, etc.). The red indicator blinks once, but stays lit.
3) Enter the 3 digit or 4 digit code.
Note: after a valid code entry, the red indicator turns off.
For an invalid code, the red indicator flashes.
4) With your device on, press CHANNEL UP. If the
device responds, no further programming is
required.
Note: If some buttons do not operate your
equipment, try one of the other codes for your
brand.
Hope it works!
Most likely reasons are settings and connection location. IE you made the setting wrong or connected it wrong

One can find Direct TV remote control codes by following instructions when setting up their TV. Turn the TV on and set the remote to "TV". If one does the setting up correctly, the TV will turn off when the code is right.
A trick I have used for years is if the tv has a SHARPNESS setting, (in the picture or video menu) turn that control all the way UP. This will sharpen the vertical edges of the picture.
By setting rules and shows they can watch. Remove TV and computers from bedrooms and also remove the games from bedrooms. The only technology is located in family areas where they can be monitored.

Yes, you can turn off sounds in Windows without turning off music. This is a setting you can change in your Control Panel; see this previous article on how to open your Control Panel. If your Control Panel is displayed in Category View (the default in recent versions of Windows).
Vonnegut uses the TV as the primary setting in "Harrison Bergeron" to highlight the pervasive influence and control of the government and media on society. The constant presence of the TV symbolizes how information is manipulated and disseminated to maintain social conformity and suppress individuality. It serves as a tool of mass distraction and propaganda, emphasizing the authoritarian nature of the dystopian society depicted in the story.
One opinion: In a fake setting their dialog is preplanned. They have other people previously script their dialog's. In a reality TV setting where the cameras are always running the people make their dialog as they go. It is not preplanned.

The single most effective thing the owner of a TV can do to improve the picture is turn the SHARPNESS control all the way up. This action will make the vertical lines that make up the picture look sharper thus the picture is sharper. If the power goes off or the set is unplugged the setting will revert back to the factory setting (in the middle) so you have to reset it again.
