Oh, that is hard, darlin'. Especially if he comes after you. It may take his doing something unforgivable. I hope it doesn't hurt past bearing.
If it's practical, you might have to move out of his reach.
Otherwise, you could try to think of this relationship as an addiction. Take the one-day-at-a-time approach and practice the principles that work for other addicts. (Look them up.) You can do it. And it will get easier over time. But remember, one slip can put you right back where you are now. Ask yourself: How many more times do I want to go through this breaking off and start withdrawal all over again? The answer should be none.
