I have broken my hand and my tendons are now too long. Can tendons shrink to a shorter length to allow proper movement again of the fingers?

Physical therapy may make them stronger, but if they were severley stretched, you may have to have surgery. Make sure you find a hand specialist. This is a very specialized and complex area, requiring a surgeon whose skill borders on artistry.
