i have just had a baby and my daughter is 14 is she old enough 2 babysit. i have just had a baby and my daughter is 14 is she old enough 2 babysit. i have just had a baby and my daughter is 14 is she old enough 2 babysit
Answer . depends on how much experience he has ...when i was his age i started at 5 dollars an hour...but he can prolly get 6 bucks if he keeps his head up straight.. Answer . Seeing as I was twelve two years ago I wouldn't say that you can charge very much. Twelve year olds really aren't tha…t responsible and connot be very experienced in babysitting. I would say the most you could charge is $5.50 an hour you should start lower, at about $4.25, and gradually increase. Twelve years olds won't be trusted as much a fourteen or fifteen yearolds so many people would rather pay more for teens with more experience.. Answer . I started out babysitting for my 3 younger brothers when I was about 10 or 11 years old and worked my waty to my cousins when I was 12. I think it depends how trust-worthy you can be. For example, if you are the youngest in your family or you are an only child at 12 years old, I think you might be a little un-trust-worthy because you don't have any experience. If you are the oldest and have younger siblings, I think you are pretty trust-worthy. Here is my answer to how much you should charge-. Have younger siblings/ you are the oldest- $5.00 an hour + $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour. Only child/ youngest- $4.00 an hour = $2.00 ( if you are cooking)= $7.00 per hour. The response before is completely incorrect. It depends on experience, not age! (MORE)
I would be concerned with a 10-year-old being left in charge of younger kids. They have limited ability to control others and don't have the experience to cover emergencies. You should not have a 10 year old baby sitting, as they are still not responsible enough to look after children that are you…nger than them, especially babies. You have to be 14 years of age to babysit! :) (MORE)
what i would do, if it was my first time, i would start small and just see how you can handle them and then see what you deserve. Im starting with 5 dollars an hour. You dont have to do 5 dollars an hour if you dont want but that would be the reasonable thing to do... remember just start low.
Yes. But they need to be mature to handle it. If not, even a 14 year old shouldn't be able to babysit.
Yes, a 14 year old is able to babysit a 7 year old. Since thischild is in school you could perhaps even help them with theirschool homework when babysitting them.
In the United Kingdom, it is possible for a 14 year old to babysithowever it isn't recommended by the National Society for thePrevention of Cruelty to Children. They suggest that you should be16 years old in order to babysit.
hae mate. i'm 14 myself and just thinking about becoming a tutor.. i was thinking of charging between $6-$15. it is a cheap and reasonable price. well done. and good luck
One Opinion eleven year old children should not be hired to babysit other children. eleven year old children need babysitters. this information is the truth, without exception. there are NO eleven year old children who can be trusted to mind, even for minutes, another child. (that means you can'…t pay them at all) Another Opinion eleven yr. olds can be trusted but they should only get to babysit close family or really good friends. 11 year olds can not babysit strangers because who knows what they'll make you cook, eat or do. that proves that 11 yr. olds can be trusted. (MORE)
I would definitely don't charge less then 5 dollars an hour. You should probably check around with other babysitters (if you know any) or your parents. Also you could advertise without a set rate and discuss it with the parents. This person is wrong!^ l I am 13 and I charge at LEAST $6 plus… $1 extra per extra kid. Above answer is correct about 2nd and 3rd sentences though. (MORE)
What you charge depends on the situation. Are you driving to the place, or are the parents driving you? How many kids are you watching? Are you babysitting at your house or theirs? Do the children have any disabilities or allergies? What hours are you babysiting? Do you have to cook or clean? Do you… have to put the kids to bed? Do you have to bring things to keep the kids occupied? How old are the kids? How well behaved are the children? And finally, how long are you staying? Each of these can be a contributing factor to your pay, and so I recommend you get as much information as you can about the family, and base your price off that. From what I have looked up, a fair price is $8.00, but that is a general. If you have to deal with other complications, you should raise your price accordingly. I hope this helps! Spell check says there are errors, I warn you of that, however I was unable to see them (MORE)
No a 12 year old is too young and should be 16 before babysitting a 8 year old. There is only 4 year difference and not enough expereince in case something should happen. I agree-absolutely not!
Such an offer should always be refused; it is illegal to have any form of sexual relationship with a child. Furthermore, if a child that age is coming onto you in such a manner, it is a sign of possible sexual abuse. Any concerns you may have should be taken to an authority figure.
About $25 dollars, give or take a few dollars, you should be getting about $5 an hour. At the lowest, maybe $3?
I would say maybe 7 dollars and then add 2-3 dollars per extra kid, per hour.
I get $6 an hour from a single mom and $15 an hour from big family. Well, first of all it depends how many kids. Here is what people usually pay me. 1 kid= 5$ an hour 2 kids= 8$ an hour 3 kids= 12$ an hour I have never had to watch 4 kids. But i hope this helps you! Have fun babysitting! between 20-…40 a night it depends how much you do if you clean how many children how long your there that kind of stuff.maybe 6 an hour if u are babysitting a small toddler or infant about 10 dollars an hour and if you are babysitting a kindergartner about 4 dollars an hour (MORE)
depends if it's 14 year old boy and a 12 year old girl big no no also depends on the 14 year olds personality if he's rough and easily wound up you have one bruised 12 year old but if you hav a soppy 14 year old there is gonna be anarchy ^^ Honestly, in my opinion a 12 year old should not ha…ve to be babysat. Unless, the parent is going to be gone for a long time of period, or the 12 year old is not mature enough, or has any type of disorder. I don't think the 14 year old will babysit if anything them 2 will go do something together, 14 and 12 are close numbers if the person was 16 taking care of a 9 year old then thats different there just kids (MORE)
Well, your definently old enough so look at classes online and try to find some locations
it depends on how many of you there is you could get anything from £10 to £ thirty i suppose it depends on who you are dealing with when i did babysitting i was paid £5 pound an hour and made £20 but other times i would make around £12 so it varies
This is a harder question to answer then one might guess. It largely depends on where you live, what other things you are asking your babysitter to do (IE pick up drop off at soccer camp, clean the house, make dinner), how often (you pay someone more to do it as a regular job rather then on an occas…ional Friday night), how well behaved your child is, and what the going rates are in your neighborhood. If this is a regular job then to get someone good I would say ten dollars an hour. If you need to save money I would recommend trying to find someone else with similar needs that you can share the cost with. If you pay ten for one then you probably could get two kids watched for 12-13 per hour. Split that and then you are only out 6 or seven a piece. Its the time for the babysitter that usually makes the initial cost so expensive. (MORE)
It all depends on your experience.. if you dont have much then you cant charge much maybe 1.50-2.00 an hour if you are experienced then you can charged more i charge 5.00 per hour but that is because im very experienced and my customers are willing to pay that
Yes,. Of course a 14 year old can babysit. But there is a disadvantage: It is kind of young. It is better to start babysitting at maybe 17 or 18. But if you really want to, it will be no problem. To start off you should start babysitting family members, and see how it works if its good, go on and b…egin babysitting others. (MORE)
15 year olds should earn $30 every babysit they do . It depends how much you charge an hour.
Depends on your age. For one or two kids, if you are... . 11-12 year old, 2 to 4 dollars an hour. . 13-15 year old, 3 to 5 dollars an hour. . 16-18 year old, 5 to 8 dollars an hour. . This is just what I would pay. Others might not be as generous.
If you are going to babysit a 2 or three year old then you should charge 10 dollars an hour
Erm... not being rude but i don't think your really allowed to be left alone at home at your age, forget babysitting anyone else...
Roughly $4-$8 an hour. It does depend on the area you live in, what the child's age is, and if you are experienced or not. For example, I live in kind of a poor area, this is my first job babysitting, and I am 12 so I am getting $3.10 an hour for a 3 year old little girl. That's also what the family… offered to pay me and some girls will take anything the family offers to pay them. HOPE THIS HELPED! -bubble-gum-girl 13 (MORE)
I used to babysit a little girl across the street for $5 an hour, but it depends. How many hours are you watching them? Are the kids loud, rambuncous, hard to keep a hold on? Consider these points and you'll figure out a reasonable price. Be confident and don't aim too high or too low in the beginni…ng. (MORE)
As a college student I have gotten paid $100 per night ($200 total for Friday and Saturday night) and when my hourly rate for working during the day. That is $10 an hour for approximately 12 hours a day for 3 days ($10 x 12hours = $120 x 3 days = $360)... so a total of $560 for the whole weekend.. …this is for 2 boys. One is a little over 1 yr and the other one is 2 and a half. Take into account that this is a family in a wealthy area. You may find yourself charging a lot less for less wealthy areas. (MORE)
An 11 y/o should charge at least 8 to 10 dollars and it also depends on how many kids there are and how long you're watching them.
For an 8 and 10 year old they won't want to be treated like babies. Take them outside if you can with like chalk of a bouncy ball. You could let them organize a game as long as it isn't to wild. Try an answer game when you ask them questions who ever answers first wins the question.
I would charge depending on the income of the parents and the difficulty of children. Maybe a flat rate of $5/hr per kid, but also ask around and see how much parents in the area would be wiling to pay and how much any other babysitters you know may charge.
I wouldn't say it's called "babysitting" i would call it hanging out with someone that the parents didn't want to watch, but if your getting payed for keeping him/her in check then yeah a 14 year old can.
For every child-2-4=3.50. 5-8=3.00. 8+ =2.50 For meals-0.50 (snacks are free!) For PLANED baths, depending on age-1-5 is 0.75, 6-10 is 0.25 (if the child asks me for a bath, then its free :D) If its short notice, and 1.00 to the total, if its for an emergency, knock 1.00 off every hour, and baths… and meals are free. *for meals i charge as a group for the children, NOT per child *depending on how many baths i give is how much *i charge per hour, if i babysit longer than 3 hours add 1.00 *if it is long term (being a time span of planed baby sitting, such as every couple night's, or every month, or every week) add 1.50 to total price ON LAST DAY THAT I BABYSIT * i do NOT do every night This should be a good pricing, its the one i use! :D (MORE)
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) uses the body mass index (BMI) to determine what weights are healthy for a given height. According to their recommendations, a normal BMI is one between 18.5 and 24.9, which for a five foot, eight inch adult translates to roughly 125 and 164 lbs. . This infor…mation applies only to fully grown adults, however, as children and adolescents are still growing and have yet to reach their set, adult heights. Also, the BMI is a very crude measure since it only considers height and weight but not body composition. Thus, a trained athlete may have a higher than normal BMI due to a high percentage of lean mass (muscle) compared to fat. (MORE)
Between 122 and 164 pounds. That's going by a BMI or Body Mass Index calculation. That being said, at 14 you're definitely still growing and developing so it's alright if you don't fit into this perfectly. If you want to lose or gain weight make sure to talk to a doctor so you don't impair your g…rowth while doing it. (MORE)
Boys are just as capable as girls. My rule of thumb is boys for boys, and girls for girls if at all possible.
How much should a 11 almost 12 year old charge for babysitting a 2 year old and 5 year old for 8 hrs you are certified in babysitting and first aid?
Depending on where you live, the usual rate is 5 dollars per child per hour. In your case you would actually be asking for 80 dollars. If the babysitting is happening during the day you may knock a little bit off the price, but it goes into the evening and the time goes past 10pm the hours after 10p…m cost more because it's late. (MORE)
About 7$ if it is a special child(like only child or other needs). Or 5$ otherwise.
In most cases an 8 year old is not legally allowed to babysit. However, if you are babysitting a sibling or close relative, thatit up to your parents.
an 11-year-old shouldn't be babysitting anyway! you're supposed to be at least 13 years old to have any kind of jobs.
i think you should get paid 3.00 for kids over 7 and 6.00for kids under 6 and 7.00 an hour that's my opinion I'm 13 and have been babysitting since last year
I am an avid babysitter (I'm 16). What I usually say is 5 dollars per hour, but whatever the parent's feel confortable paying. They will usually say "oh no, that's not enough, I'll pay you more!". They will feel you are not being to greedy. Between $5-10. Depending on the amount of kids. .
Well it all depends on how many hours they chare like 12 house probably 3 dollars an house 2 hours 5 dollars an hour . 4 hours ... ya know what I mean :p Answer: Okay, the first one makes no sense, even for me. I think 1 hour per child would be 4 dollars an hour, the older, the less you charge… (diapers, diapers, diapers!) but 4 dollars would be about for a 5-6 year old, so charge 50 cents less per year older , or 50 cents more for younger children. (MORE)
well three kids is alot of work i would recomend getting paid by the hour and i should be about 2.00 the hour per kid wich mean 6.00 an hour if you find them to be difficult or think it is way to low i would recomend the most as 4.00 per kid or for you 12.00 an hour , you can always negotiate with t…he parent or gaurdian of the children (MORE)

You could charge $/£5 an hour. Or maybe $/£20-$/£30 for a night. It might also be a nice gesture to pay your parents $/£2-$/£5 for fuel if they drove you to the house.
It depends on how many children you are babysitting. You should compromise with the child's parent.
It depends on the amount of kids you are watching, and how long you will be babysitting. In my point of view, if you were babysitting one child, charge about $3+. So if you were babysitting five children, you would simply times your price of one child with the number of children you are tending. C…onfused? Here's some examples: say you were watching five children for three hours. The total profit would come to about $45, but that seems a little pricy to you, so just charge per child only, or per hour only. So if you were babysitting five, charge $15 total. But don't be afraid to up the price if you feel you aren't making a worthwile job! (MORE)
This all depends on many factors. The time, the service, how many children there are. I normally charge $6/hr plus $1 extra for every other kid.
