If your uncle marries another man, then you get a new uncle. If your brother marries another man, then you get a new brother-in-law. You can get a new uncle by marriage, but not a new brother.

It works the say as when a straight family member gets married. It depends on which family member you are talking about:

  • If you are talking about a brother, then you will get a brother-in-law.
  • If you are talking about an uncle, then you will get an uncle.
  • If you are talking about a son, then you will get a son-in-law.
  • If you are talking about your dad, then you will get a stepfather.
